Here's What I've Done for Clients... Just Like You.

Email Marketing: Cannabis Growing Canada (CGC)

The challenge: A disengaged, disinterested email list. CGC was only contacting customers when they were putting on a sale.

The solution: The creation of a newsletter. Sent 1x per week, its purpose was to nurture list members, through entertaining and educational content that was relevant.

The results: A 500% ROI over 100 issues and 13 months. And recent results have been even better – an 800% ROI YTD in 2025 (January to April) and a 1,300% ROI in April alone.

Sales & Landing Pages: All Connected Agency (subcontractor role)

The challenge: A telehealth course creator’s previous launch didn’t meet her income expectations.

The solution: Overhauling her opt-in page, “Thank You” page, and sales letter. I conducted extensive voice-of-customer research and the implemented a landing/sales page flow that respected the Buyer’s Journey of prospects. This created online assets that were far more likely to convert.

The results: A launch that netted six-figures in revenue over two months. The sales page remains in place one year after the launch of the course creator’s evergreen funnel.

Website Copy: BairesDev

The challenge: BairesDev connects Latin American tech talent to companies in North America. But they target large corporate buyers.

These companies include Google, Salesforce, and Johnson & Johnson. These clients are discerning, so BairesDev’s web content needs to match their expectations.

The solution: The creation of copy that matched not just the needs of BairesDev’s ICP, but also the voice they expect from top-tier vendors.

The results: Minimal requests for revisions and lofty praise from Julia Angel, the manager for this web copy project.

Per Julia: “He has a natural talent for translating technical concepts into clear, engaging content. His writing style was… on-brand and engaging… [and] it’s clear James conducts his research and pays great attention to detail.”

Blog Posts: Various Clients

The challenge: Our clients wanted to rank high on the first page of Google for their target keyword(s).

The solution: Creating SEO blog posts that read like content marketing blog posts. Throughout the 2020s to the present day, the Google algorithm has gotten steadily smarter. Posts stuffed with keywords, with thin content, and with poor grammar were getting flagged by Google with increasing regularity. So whenever I’ve written blog posts for SEO clients, I’ve always sought to add value… even if priority #1 was ensuring optimal keyword insertion.

The results: As a subcontractor on these projects, I’ve never had access to hard numbers. But I’ve maintained working relationships with multiple SEO consultants for many years (in one case, for over a decade). Over that time, I’ve published more than 1,000 SEO blog posts, which is a feat that speaks for itself.
